Orma Press Settings for MDF doors8/23
Hi, we have an orma membrane press to press MDF doors with PVC vinyl. We're having problems with getting the vinyl into the routings. Does anyone have the settings for pressing vinyl doors so we can try them on our press, we have adjusted the temprature, the pre-heat and the press pressure but we are having difficulties with the vinyl going into the routings. Our press uses a membrane to press, we can;t presss without it, thats one of the problems.
I know all presses have different settings, but a guideline would help what temperature, how long to pre-heat, how long to press and how many bars/kilos to press it with.
Currently we are using 115 degrees, pre-heat at 45 secs and pressing for 120 secs and that works ok with slab doors.
We use 0.4mm and 0.5mm vinyl in high gloss and wood grains, the settings do differ for each vinyl, but I would like to see someone elses settings, see where we are going wrong.
Any help would be appreciated.
Good Day Namsey,
I would be happy to help you out. But it also depends how the machine you are running is working. It could be as simple as switching some settings around, Those settings you are using are in the range of what a lot of people use. But high in my opinion.
You could be having some mechanical problems, etc with the press causing these problems. Could be your vacuum system not working properly, etc.
I would have happy to help you out and also can come work on your press.
Feel free to give me a call.
