You are not logged in. Consider these WOODWEB Member advantages:
1 1/2" Thick x 24" deep x 5ft. wide span/open shelving.
In general: I have always used slab shelving and inserted a metal support to the leading edge to stiffen it up.
The idea of a honeycomb center, 1/8" mdf shins and plam over that has been brought up.
Any pros & cons on this? Thanks
Torsion box shelves. They are strong.
5ft is a long span. How much weight are you talking? Angle or square tubing would be the strongest.
I believe I would stick with the slab.
