Mixing Mohawk acrylic wiping stains and mohawk ultra penetrating w 2K11/16
I keep getting the run around from some of the higher up mgrs with Melisi North America, so as another avenue, Iím asking you guys and gals for help.
I donít want to invest several hundred dollars into melisi dyes. I will be spraying melisi 2K next week and need to do a dyed finish. Iíd prefer to not use Polarian, yet i know for a fact i can mix Mohawk w/ MLís products without chemical issue.
Has anyone used MoHawks stains and dyes with Melisiís 2K arcrylic non-yellowing poly and had success?
Several years ago, a company local sold me a Gemini wiping stain (I believe was oil based) and I used Melisi 2K and when one table leaf bumped into anotherC it chipped off a corner of the finish. Iím assuming because melisi 2k and oil stains donít go together.
Iím sick of the ďwe only recommend u use our stains and dyes. No crap, so they can make money off of it.
I think melisi would sell so much more product if you didnít need a different thinner and catalyst for EVERYTHING.
Just mix up a small sample of urethane & Mohawk dye stain &/or acrylic wiping stain. With a dye concentrate you would use less dye with the urethane.
Thx Jay, but the job is done.
I had to buy Melisi dyes....unfortunately, because of the high 💰. It turned out very well
