Dryad Studios is located on a mountaintop,160 acre Tree Farm in the Ozarks. We are a few miles from the Buffalo National River Headwaters and Ponca Arkansas. We are adjacent to thousands of acres of prime, highland timber. We have a Mobile Dimension Sawmill, and have been sawing our own lumber since 1978, Our website displays our furniture shop success. We are extremely discriminating lumber producers. Quality lumber requires fastidious attention to detail starting in the woods and ending in the kiln. We have sawing capabilities up to 20'. Our dehumidification kiln dries 5000 ft at a charge. Our knowledge base includes 50 years of logging, and 45 years of sawing and kiln drying. Our furniture is in some of the finest residences worldwide, not to mention the appearance on the National News weekly of some politician standing behind one of our tables or podiums. We know wood......at the molecular level......we eat, breathe, and sleep wood. The three kids have spent 30 years handling trees,logs,lumber,and boards in the shop. We talk about wood like a family member. We no longer offer portable sawmilling. On site only. We can kiln dry lumber to 5%-7% slowly in our Nyle dehumidification kiln. Our most valuable talent is in Quartersawn Lumber. We have been quartersawing since 1980. Our Arts & Crafts furniture has been featured in Architectural Digest, Fine Homebuilding, and Better Homes & Gardens 'Wood' magazine.
