Job Description:
Develop project estimates for custom commercial architectural millwork projects. Ensure customer satisfaction estimating from conception to completion using a variety of computer software applications to develop the bids and subsequent proposals.
Eligibility Requirements:
Interpret architectural drawings and blueprints to perform take offs and estimates for customer projects
Analyze job specifications, blueprints and supporting documents to ensure that all items are properly identified and included on the customer quotation
Determine and calculate quantities of materials specified for projects
Preparation of material order requirements to streamline order placement by purchasing
Provide customer support as needed
Actively collaborates in the activities of cost estimating as a function of sales, project management, purchasing and production prep.
Develops and maintains, within established criteria, the estimating software, its library of items, assemblies, and contacts.
Maintains organized estimate files with all documentation related to a given estimate.
Develops and maintains, with the assistance of purchasing, a library of sources, information, and pricing.
experience estimating commercial architectural millwork projects
Working knowledge of AWI standards custom millwork fabrication
Prior experience using ProjectPAK a plus
Job Salary:
$85K (more for exceptional candidate)
