Description
Small but growing fabrication shop in the Brooklyn Navy Yard seeks dedicated builder to join our team. We are looking for a contract builder with at least 10 years of experience who is available to work 30+ hours a week. This person should be an extremely detail-oriented, highly organized self-starter who is capable of reading and interpreting drawings independently. Consistency is key, as is expert knowledge of:
Cabinet making
Cabinetry hardware
Finishing
Materials
Proficiency using a panel saw, joiner, planer and press. We have a small CNC, and there may be opportunity to work with this machine.
For the right person, this role has opportunity for growth into handling other aspects of the business, including project management and client relations. Competitive compensation based on experience, starting at $30/hr, with opportunity for pay increase based on a performance review shortly after hiring.
