Reports To

The Project Manager II will report to the Director of Project Management.

Job Overview

The ideal candidate for this role has spent time as an Assistant Project Manager or similar previously and can work autonomously with a high capacity to communicate information across all levels of employees.

The best fit for this role is someone who understands the importance of efficiency, organization, communication, and attention to detail while not being afraid to ask questions or for assistance. This person will handle a busy work schedule while hitting the assigned timelines.

Responsibilities and Duties

Highly competent in all Assistant Project Manager programs and software
Can read blueprints and identify millwork and lineal trims
Attend a turnover meeting without assistance, asking the right questions at the right times
Able to identify and takeoff millwork items for material
Field measure with no assistance
Able to buyout items
Interact with clients and create relationships
Project Manage install and fabrication jobs with no assistance.
Able to estimate and write up change orders and PO requests
Send relevant documents to vendors for pricing
Award vendors based on budget
Negotiate when not in budget to present an in-budget number to director
All day to day Project Manager responsibilities
Be prepared for reviews by Director
Able to read and understand specifications
Be responsible for any and all items on a job
Trouble shooting issues as they come up with a clear head
Produce weekly emails for all jobs
Teach and train Assistant Project Managers
Show signs of leadership and ownership of assigned jobs
Understand that we are all always learning
Qualifications and Experience

Is organized and has good communication skills (written and verbal).
Strong attention to detail.
Willingness to learn and understand various facets of the construction industry, including but not limited to: Estimating, Project Management, Operations, and Sales.
Ability to work both autonomously and as part of a large team.
Inclination to take initiative and jump on problems as they arise, minimizing any lasting impacts on our projects.
Is not afraid to be challenged, can work under pressure, and has the aptitude to solve challenging problems with feedback from manager.
Ability to compute, analyze, interpret, and report on basic to intermediate statistical information.
Must be willing to travel to and from Siteline's office location in San Dimas. Scheduled monthly trips to our headquarters in Chicago, IL will be required during non-covid times.
