The Site Survey Engineer is responsible for analyzing architectural and field information in relation to millwork fixtures and producing clean, process-driven documents to effectively communicate the information. The ideal candidate will have an architectural or millwork background using Revit software, in-field experience with installation, construction, or surveying, an impeccable ability to verbally communicate technical information with both site-based and internal personnel, and an organized, systematic working process of visually communicating information. The individual will be responsible for maintaining product CAD libraries, upholding process and document standards, and staying in constant communication with the site surveyor(s) while on site to provide guidance or assistance. This role will report to the Engineering Team Lead.

Essential Functions:

• Analyze information from architectural plans and elevations, site specific CI documents, general contractor and architect comments, and site progress photographs to create outgoing site survey templates to be used in the field to capture dimensions.
• Analize raw data taken from site surveys to create organized incoming site survey documents to be used by millwork engineering and project management to complete product releases.
• Facilitate strong line of communication with site surveyor(s) during the survey process.
• Maintain a deep understanding of product offerings and how they interact with the environment in which they are placed by working with and learning from the Millwork Engineering and Product Development teams.
• Communicate knowledgably about millwork fixtures and job site conditions, including, but not limited to service requirements, spatial constraints, and required clearances or access.
• Own CAD libraries of fixture offerings across product lines, maintain and update libraries as changes are needed using revision and archiving system.
• Work with engineering, project management, and space planning to assist with clean handoff of information and execution of outgoing and incoming site survey information.
• Manage priorities and workload by utilizing work order system in company’s ERP.

REQUIRED SKILLS/COMPETENCIES (include but are not limited to)

Proficient in Revit software
• Proficient in AutoCAD software.
• On site experience of installing or surveying for architectural millwork, or general contracting experience.
• Proficient reading architectural documents including floorplans, elevations, and CI documents.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

• Three years experience in Revit software.
• Three years experience in AutoCAD software.
• Three years experience in commercial building construction, retail fixture design or installation, or architectural surveying.
• On-site experience taking measurements for surveys, installing millwork products, or general contracting.


PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

• Retail fixture design for commercial applications.
• Experience in LiDAR 3-D scan data analysis.
