Summary
Experienced estimator sought to price/sell both residential and commercial projects throughout the Chicagoland Region.
Responsibilities
-Bid reviews as required.
-Submit RFIs for clarification
-Quantity takeoffs and pricing from architectural drawings
-Collaborationt with vendors and shop to determining costs
-Correspondence and submittal of bids as well as follow-up
-Develop and maintain vendor relationships while maintain database of vendor pricing
-Compute cost estimates for materials, subcontracted work, production and install in proprietary custom program.
-Lead a team of Sales, Project Management, Engineering and Production to create a cohesive plan to produce complex projects from your estimate in handoff.
-Keep track of change orders and analyze overages in production work closely with project management, purchasing, and production to make sure scope of work being produced is what was sold.
Requirements
-Practical and or hands-on background previously in Cabinetry fabrication & joinery is a Big PLUS!
-Takeoffs and pricing are done in Innergy but will consider expereince with Planswift as well.
-Creative thinking to value engineer projects in the pricing stage with solid math skills.
-Five+ years experience with estimating Custom Cabientry & Casework required.
-Read and understand architectural drawings & blueprints.
-Self-driven organizational and time management skills.
-Abilities to perform material, labor takeoffs & pricing.
-Experience in Project Management is HUGE Plus!
