Description
High-end fabrication shop in Ozone Park, specializing in millwork for retail and residential projects. We build highly custom free standing and built-in pieces. We work in wood and metal, though this position will primarily be handling wood processes.
DUTIES
- Fabricate, assemble, and finish custom furniture items according to specifications
- Install millwork in residential and commercial settings
- Utilize various tools and equipment to cut, shape, and finish various materials
- Measure and mark dimensions on materials for accurate cutting and assembly
- Ensure quality craftsmanship and attention to detail
- Follow safety protocols and guidelines to maintain a safe working environment
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous experience in cabinet making, millwork, or related field
- Proficient in using woodworking tools and equipment
- Knowledge of different types of wood, hardware, and materials relevant to the field
- Ability to read blueprints, drawings, and specifications
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work with precision
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot issues during installation
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team environment
