Description
We are a high-end custom millwork shop based in Brooklyn, NY, specializing in residential interiors. We're currently hiring a full-time Draftsman to join our team.
Position Overview:
- This is a full-time, in-office (in-person) position. You’ll be responsible for producing detailed AutoCAD shop drawings for custom millwork projects. Approximately 75% of our work involves kitchens, with the remaining 25% consisting of bookcases, vanities, closets, and other built-ins.
Key Responsibilities:
- Draft floor plans, elevations, sections, and 3D visuals using AutoCAD
- Create detailed and accurate shop drawings for fabrication
- Collaborate with project managers and shop team to ensure drawings are buildable and reflect design intent
- Revise and update drawings based on feedback or site conditions
- Prepare client-ready drawing sets as well as internal shop documentation
Requirements:
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is required
- Experience drafting custom millwork or cabinetry (minimum 2 years preferred)
- Strong knowledge of woodworking construction, materials, and hardware
- Ability to read architectural plans and field measurements
- High attention to detail and organizational skills
Work Schedule:
Monday–Thursday: 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM
Friday: 8:00 AM – 3:00 PM
