Overview:
Southern Pride Custom Cabinets is an experienced high-end commercial architectural millwork company. We are seeking a skilled and experienced Cabinet Maker / Woodworker for our cabinet shop in Madison, AL.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Work in a team environment where cross training is encouraged and desired
Job entails operation of woodworking, finishing machinery, various lacquer /paint products and commitment to following safe operation practices
Applicant must have experience operating or be willing to learn how to operate some of the tools listed, but not necessarily all the tools listed: Includes operation of power saws, routers, pneumatic fasteners, power drills, sanders, finish spraying equipment, operate computer numerically controlled (CNC) equipment and other tools used in woodworking and cabinetry making
Performs other duties as assigned and related to position and team goals
Requirements:
Must be able to read prints and shop drawings
Must be a detail-oriented self-starter with the ability to take a drawing from conception to final completion
Must have a keen eye for detail and accuracy in all work with the ability to produce good quality work
Must have a flexible approach to working time to meet deadlines/peak workloads
Experience in woodworking and cabinet building is required. Installing experience is a plus
Must be able to lift 50 lbs., bend and work on your feet for extended periods of time
Must have strong leadership skills and take pride in work
Organized and process driven
Minimum of 3 to 5 years of experience in a similar role
Plastic Laminate experience is a plus
Solid Surface experience is a plus
Edge bander knowledge is a plus
CNC router knowledge is a plus
Full time position
Pay is commensurate with experience
Hours vary based on season/demand - typically Monday to Thursday, 6:00am to 4:30pm
