We are a leading custom millwork and fabrication shop specializing in high-quality architectural interiors, commercial fixtures, and bespoke furniture. Our team is passionate about craftsmanship, precision, and delivering exceptional results to our clients. We’re currently seeking skilled Mica/Veneer Laminators to join our growing production team.

Position Overview

As a Mica/Veneer Laminator, you will be responsible for preparing, cutting, and applying laminate, veneer, and other surface materials to wood substrates in accordance with detailed shop drawings and specifications. You’ll work closely with our cabinetmakers and finish team to ensure superior quality and consistency across all projects.

Key Responsibilities

Accurately apply plastic laminates (mica), wood veneers, and specialty surfacing materials.

Prepare substrates by sanding, cleaning, and trimming to specification.

Operate laminating presses, rollers, and other shop tools safely and effectively.

Ensure all materials are properly aligned and adhered without bubbles, wrinkles, or defects.

Work from blueprints, shop drawings, and verbal instructions.

Collaborate with the fabrication team to maintain high production standards and meet project deadlines.

Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety protocols.

Qualifications

Minimum 2 years’ experience in a millwork or cabinetmaking environment preferred.

Strong knowledge of laminate and veneer application techniques.

Familiarity with adhesives, contact cements, and bonding processes.

Ability to read and interpret shop drawings and measurements accurately.

Strong attention to detail and quality workmanship.

Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced shop setting.
