Title: Finishing Supervisor
Reports To: Operations Manager
Primary Purpose:
Coordination of the finishing process to optimize the use of all resources and equipment in meeting and/or exceeding established company goals and customer expectations.
Essential Functions:
Provides feedback to providers related to meeting or exceeding expectations defined.
Ensure the maintenance of all finishing equipment.
Plan and coordinate department’s activities to support company goals targets and meet and/or exceed client and/or customers expectations.
Ensure proper scheduling to ensure on time and complete delivery.
Ensure product meets the Critical to Quality standard.
Work with chemical vendor to ensure color is matched and maintained properly.
Ensure a 95% or better FPY.
Monitor BO report and communication needs to ensure oldest backorders are no more than two days old.
Ensure assigned departments perform tasks as outlined in Job Instruction Breakdowns, Quality Specifications, and Standard Operating Practices.
Participate in identifying hiring needs, employee selection and training process
Ensures Policies are followed and provide guidance and discipline.
Establishes scorecards for team members in alignment with overall organization KPI’s.
Provide a safe and productive work environment, including housekeeping.
Participate in the identification and implementation of continuous improvement initiatives
Perform other tasks as directed by direct supervisor
Supervision Responsibilities:
Will supervise hourly employees in the assigned department and/or departments. Is responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of direct reports. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the organization’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Qualification:
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Undergraduate degree in Business/Engineering or related discipline preferred; extensive work experience may be considered in lieu of education.
Minimum of 5 years of finishing experience; wood related preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of supervision experience; multiple departments
Minimum of 3 years’ experience using computer-based material management and proven proficiency with MRP systems
Lean training is required
Strong planning/Organization & Time Management skills
Manufacturing experience in a high-speed change environment
