MILLWORK DESIGN ENGINEER (NOT REMOTE)
Southeast U.S.
Salary: 75-100K+

Utilize AutoCAD to update 2D/3D CAD drawings from approved prints and field dimensions for commercial millwork and casework
Communicate with Project Managers to determine site conditions, additional required fields, etc.
Update the material database for the robotic material handling system.
Isolate geometry clearly for CNC programming or 3D modeling with notation
Provide all required production release paperwork and follow the company release process
Develop the bill of materials for each project
Break out SKs for specialty items
Use the ELaser to template complex areas and incorporate those scans into drawings
Work with other production engineers and cutting room staff to ensure proper machining routines and nesting methods.

Learn and maintain company drafting style and standards
Create accurate and buildable drawings with the fabricator, installer, and clients needs in mind
Work required hours to meet both internal and external project timelines
Interact with related departments professionally and courteously
Communicate clearly and effectively both verbally and non-verbally

Develop methods to produce drawings and programs more efficiently while maintaining departmental standards
Consistently provide accurate drawings that minimize additional shop or field work
