Role Summary
The Operations Manager is responsible for the overall leadership and performance of RiverCity Cabinets’ operational departments, including planning, engineering, manufacturing, and project management. This role balances day-to-day operational oversight with strategic process improvement, ensuring that projects are delivered accurately, efficiently, and to the high standards expected in the luxury residential market.
The ideal candidate brings deep technical knowledge of custom cabinetry and millwork, strong people leadership skills, and the ability to scale systems and teams while preserving craftsmanship and quality.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and implement operational strategies that improve efficiency, accuracy, quality, and cost control while minimizing waste.
Translate company objectives into clear, actionable departmental goals and ensure alignment across all operational teams.
Provide leadership and accountability for Planning, Engineering, Manufacturing, and Project Management departments.
Evaluate and allocate resources—including staffing, equipment, and production capacity—to meet quality, schedule, and delivery commitments.
Monitor financial and operational performance, including job costing and task-level cost controls.
Oversee safety, environmental compliance, and quality assurance programs.
Manage facilities, tools, and equipment maintenance programs.
Support human resources initiatives, including performance reviews, coaching, and employee development.
Qualifications & Experience
Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in custom cabinetry and architectural millwork.
Proven experience managing both custom, detail-driven work and higher-volume production environments.
Strong ability to read and interpret architectural, presentation, and shop drawings.
Demonstrated strength in production planning, scheduling, and supply chain management.
Hands-on experience building custom cabinets, furniture, or architectural millwork is required.
