Description
LaForma Millworks Inc is a specialty architectural millwork and casework fabrication shop with nearly two decades of successful operation focused primarily on high-end commercial and residential projects. Our company is developing and expanding continuously. We are currently seeking an experienced finish carpenter and cabinet maker to help us in our state of the art / CNC equipped facility.
Our employees need to excel in multi-tasking and must have a strong ability and desire to learn new skills, follow instructions, take initiative, and lead by example.
Job Description:
Work directly from shop drawings, take and apply accurate measurements
Fabricate, assemble, apply finishes to custom cabinets, millwork, and case work
Operate all shop equipment, machinery and tools safely and proficiently (table saws, panel saws, planer, belt sander, drill presses, hand tools, routers, etc)
Milling and processing hard lumber, assemble and finish components
Understand and enforce safe working practices in the shop and on site
Maintain a clean and organized work site
Requirements:
Ability to read shop drawings
5+ years experience in high-end custom cabinet, millwork, and finish carpentry
Must have knowledge of different species of woods
Knowledge of commonly used hardwares and finishes
Ability to operate all shop equipment and tools at a high level
Knowledge of commonly used hardwares and finishes
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Commitment to safety guidelines and policies
Be a team player
Must be able to stand for several hours and must be able to safely lift up to 50lbs
