1. Scope of Work
LAFORMA MILLWORKS INC is a high-end millwork and custom cabinet fabrication shop, which has been in the market for close to two decades. We are currently seeking for a woodwork, millwork and cabinet installer.
2. Primary Duties & Technical Execution
Precision Installation: Execute the layout and installation of base, wall, and tall cabinetry, including islands, vanities, and specialized built-ins.
Custom Scribing: Expertly scribe fillers, panels, and moldings to accommodate site-specific conditions (uneven walls, floors, or ceilings) to achieve a seamless fit.
Architectural Details: Install high-visibility millwork including wall paneling, crown moldings, light rails, and decorative trim, interior doors.
Hardware & Mechanics: Install and adjust all functional hardware (hinges, drawer slides, pull-outs) and decorative handles/knobs to ensure perfect operation and alignment.
Template Readiness: Ensure all base cabinets are perfectly level and structurally braced to support heavy stone/quartz countertops and to meet templating requirements.
Technical Compliance: Review and follow shop drawings and architectural elevations to ensure the final product matches the approved design and site dimensions.
3. Professional Standards & Quality Control
Tolerance Standards: Maintain a strict commitment to industry-leading tolerances (typically 1/32" or less for joints and reveals).
Site Management: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe workspace. As a representative of Laforma Millworks, you are expected to interact professionally with clients and other trades on-site.
Safety Compliance: Strict adherence to PPE requirements and safe operation of all power tools (table saws, miter saws, pneumatic tools).
Documentation: Accurately track progress and report any site discrepancies, damaged materials, or hardware shortages to the Project Manager immediately.
4. Requirements
Experience: The candidate shall have at least 5 years of work experience in high-end custom-made woodwork, millwork, cabinet installation in both commercial and residential fields.
Heavy Lifting & Maneuvering: Regularly lift, carry, and maneuver cabinet boxes and millwork components weighing 50–75 lbs (often in awkward spaces or up stairs)
Stamina: Ability to spend 8+ hours per day standing, kneeling, crouching, and climbing ladders.
Material Stewardship: Responsible for the careful handling of pre-finished materials to prevent scratching, denting, or damage during transit and installation.
Transportation: Maintain a valid driver's license and a reliable vehicle capable of commuting to various job sites.
5. Required Tools
Employee-Provided: You are expected to provide and maintain your own professional-grade hand tools and essential cordless power tools (Impact driver, drill, levels, squares, etc.).
Company-Provided: Specialized equipment (e.g., track saws, laser levels, and large stationary shop tools) will be provided by the company as needed.
