Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Artisan Furniture Builder to join our team. The ideal candidate will have experience crafting high-quality custom furniture using traditional woodworking techniques and modern shop equipment. This position requires strong craftsmanship, creativity, and the ability to work independently on custom projects from start to finish.
Duties and Responsibilities
• Build custom furniture pieces including tables, cabinets, shelving, chairs, desks, and other handcrafted wood products.
• Read and interpret blueprints, sketches, and customer specifications.
• Measure, cut, assemble, sand, and finish wood materials with precision.
• Perform detailed woodworking and joinery techniques.
• Apply stains, paints, lacquers, and protective finishes.
• Operate woodworking machinery and hand tools safely and efficiently.
• Inspect completed products to ensure high-quality craftsmanship standards.
• Maintain a clean and organized workshop environment.
• Repair or refinish furniture as needed.
• Work collaboratively with team members and management to complete projects on schedule.
Qualifications
• Minimum of 2 years of woodworking, carpentry, cabinetry, or furniture-building experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of woodworking tools, materials, and finishing techniques.
• Ability to read measurements and technical drawings accurately.
• Excellent attention to detail and craftsmanship.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for extended periods.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and dependable.
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience with custom furniture fabrication.
• Knowledge of hardwoods, veneers, and specialty finishes.
• Experience operating shop equipment such as table saws, planers, routers, and sanders.
Compensation
• $20.00/per hour
