Description
At P.O.P. Manufacturing, we build the retail displays and store fixtures you see in major stores nationwide. No two projects are the same — our shop produces one-of-a-kind prototypes that bring our clients' concepts to life before going into full production. If you're a skilled woodworker who enjoys variety, problem-solving, and building things that actually end up on store shelves, this role is for you.
What You'll Do
Fabricate prototypes and one-off display pieces from client drawings, samples, or concept sketches
Construct and assemble cabinets, fixtures, and retail display structures to precise specifications
Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings
Measure, cut, shape, and finish wood and composite materials using power and hand tools
Work with a variety of materials including hardwoods, laminates, MDF, and hardware components
Install hardware including hinges, handles, fasteners, and specialty fittings
Apply finishes including paint, stain, and varnish to completed pieces
Collaborate closely with a small, tight-knit team to meet project deadlines
What We're Looking For
Minimum 3 years of hands-on cabinet making, woodworking, or finish carpentry experience — this is a requirement
Ability to read and work from blueprints and technical drawings
Comfort working with varied materials and adapting methods to non-standard builds
Strong attention to detail and precision in measurements and cuts
A self-starter mindset — prototype work requires problem-solving on the fly
Good communication and the ability to work collaboratively in a small shop environment
Physical ability to stand for extended periods and handle heavy materials
