Description
Kidandcad builds climbing structures, slides, lofts, and reading nooks to furniture standards, because our work gets climbed on daily for years. Our work goes into homes, community centers, and commercial spaces around the country. We design, engineer, and build everything in-house and we're adding an experienced woodworker to the shop for immediate hire.
The work:
-Complex custom millwork from shop drawings — casework, curved and sculptural pieces, hardwood and plywood, some veneer and HDPE work.
-CNC-cut parts and traditional joinery, often in the same piece
-Several installs a year around the country. Travel, hotel, and per diem covered.
Looking for:
-3+ years in a cabinet shop, furniture shop, or scenic/exhibit fabrication
-Can read drawings, hold tolerances, and be empowered to make the best decision when the site doesn't match the CAD. Must be able to work with minimal oversight.
-Solid experience on standard shop machinery. Finishing experience a plus.
$28–33/hr depending on experience. Full time, on site in Maybrook, NY. Reply with a note on your background and photos of your work if you have them.
