Our Builders are craftsmen who use their skills and experience to make an actual object out of a set of approved shop drawings. They must assure complete accuracy and adherence to the shop drawings. Builders are responsible to layout, create cut-list, fabricate, mill, assemble, disassemble and properly label and identify every component of a job to guarantee that finishing, re-assembly and installation phases can carry on with their specific tasks efficiently. They are responsible for taking every step necessary to guarantee quality and accuracy via careful handling of materials, tools and equipment as well as using their best judgment to foresee and report and report issues that potentially could have an inverse effect on quality, time allowances, finish expectations, functionality, etc.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Learn and develop complete knowledge of Zepsa Industries’ procedures and processes.
• Thoroughly study and get familiar with the project, shop drawings, approved samples and/or mock-up species, finishing level, hardware, time allowances.
• Consult and report concerns or issues to the Shop Manager and Project Manager, this includes but is not limited to issues related to functionality, fabrication, time allowance and conflicting information.
• Layout job and prepare complete cut list.
• Review of every component for accuracy and quality must be done throughout, including during setup, cutting, molding, assembly and disassembly.
• A copy of shop drawings with “as built notes” must be provided to the installation team; the original will remain in the office for record.
