POSITION OVERVIEW
Bernhard Woodwork is seeking an experienced Architectural Millwork Draftsman / Detailer to join our drafting team. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of architectural millwork, shop drawings, and construction documents, with the ability to develop accurate, detailed drawings for fabrication and installation.
This role involves coordinating with project managers, fellow draftsmen, and production personnel to ensure drawings meet project requirements and can be efficiently manufactured.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Prepare detailed architectural millwork shop drawings for custom fabrication and installation.
Interpret architectural plans, elevations, sections, and specifications.
Coordinate with project managers, draftsmen, and production teams to resolve detailing and constructability issues.
Develop accurate drawings using Microvellum and AutoCAD.
Utilize Excel and Microsoft Office for project coordination and documentation.
Ensure drawings are accurate, complete, and consistent with project requirements.
QUALIFICATIONS
Professional experience in architectural millwork drafting or detailing.
Strong understanding of millwork construction, materials, and fabrication methods.
Proficiency in AutoCAD and experience with Microvellum preferred.
Ability to read and interpret architectural drawings and specifications.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to manage assigned work and coordinate effectively with a team.
