98" x 49" (8' x 4') fixed table, moving gantry, left to right configuration with single zone vacuum table.
(1) 10 HP HSD, ISO 30, ATC routing spindle with (8) position (2) table mounted 4-station tool bars ISO 30 tool holders, and automatic tool lenth measure switch. Spindle is driven by a solid-state inverter providing spindle speeds from 6,000 - 18,000 RPM and dynamic braking.
All axes Are driven by closed loop AC Servo motors, and move on linear guide rails. The X-axis (bridge), and Z-axis motion is provided by lead screw, the Y-axis utilizes a helical rack and pinion drive. The X- & Y-axis travels provide full table coverage of the spindle, the Z-axis travel is 7" with maximum postioning speeds of 1,000 IPM for the X- & Y-axes, and 300 IPM for the Z-axis.
The PC based "WIN/CNC Control" is mounted in a NEMA-12 computer cabinet...
