Description
The only reason I'm selling this incredible machine is that I am moving the end of July and this saw is way more than I need. You don't see these SCM bandsaws very often on the used market and this one is in amazing condition.

------------------------------

I am the sole owner and user of this bandsaw. It has been carefully used and immaculately maintained in my air-conditioned shop since I bought it new from SCM/Minimax. Several years ago, SCM changed their bandsaw branding from MiniMax to Formula. Their bandsaws have always been made by the Centauro company in Italy -- widely regarded as the finest bandsaw manufacturer in the world. The older Minimax saws are nearly identical to the Formula saws -- just a few cosmetic differences. The MM20 is just a hair smaller than the SCM Formula s540p which sells for $6,400 + Shipping. You can resaw up to 20" on this bandsaw. I also have a several hundred dollar Timberwolf Carbide blade along with another new blade that will be included.

The new Formula bandsaws gained and lost some features. I think the new bandsaws are slightly cheaper to produce. Most noticeably, they no longer have the incredible collapsing blade guard that was on the "MM" machines but the guide bar assembly seems to be identical. The latch mechanism with gasket seals is also nicer on the older "MM" saws. Otherwise, you can tell that they are pretty much the exact same machines -- Centauro perfected the sheetmetal bandsaw design several decades ago.

I put upgraded Laguna Ceramic guides (a several hundred dollar upgrade) on this -- they are much better than bearing guides or the Euro style guides that originally came with the saw. I also have an extra pair of rubber tires that I wanted for backup and I also just replaced the gasket door seals a couple months ago. I built a very nice dust collection shroud below the table that works with 6" or a 4" hose. This bandsaw is incredible and I'm asking a very fair price for it. If I can't get that price, then I will just keep it.

You are welcome to come check it out in person.
