Description
Griggio PSA 630 Planer with new paint. There are approximately 30 hours on cutterhead bearings, upgraded feed system and custom dust hood. 4 knife 150mm diameter Tersa head 630mm cutting width, 300mm maximum cutting height. Comes with one new set of Carbide knives and three new sets of HSS knives. The knives in the head are at about 50% of the remaining edge (other side has been used). Main motor is 12 HP, S1 rated, feed motor is 2 hp and raise/lower motor is approx. ½ hp. The planer is built for production work. Anti-kickback fingers, segmented pressure bar and segmented infeed steel serrated rollers precede the cutterhead. Two powered outfeed rollers follow the cutterhead (160mm dia.). There are 2 quick adjust rollers in the table for feeding rough stock. Thickness readout is two decimal places in inches. Power raise/lower with hand wheel for fine adjustment. There is a hand conversion sheet to fractions just above the readout. The machine weighs 1800 lbs. I have a video of the machine in use I can forward to interested individuals.
The planer performs as new. The mechanical variable speed of the feed system has been replaced with an Allen Bradley VFD and a new marathon motor, using stock gear reducer. The standard dust hood has been replaced with a heavy gauge custom 8-inch diameter outlet hood. Owners and parts manuals included.
Price is 8200. I will load at my shop for free. I’ll fully crate and drop off at a terminal for an additional 350.
