very nice work. i like the asymmetrical design. tell me about the automatic closers, what are the specs? i ask because we just built a driveway gate where each panel measures 8'x 7' and weighs aprox 400* each. we cannot find a suitable system for the weight. i'll post some photos of it in the gallery.
If the panels are balanced properly, why is the weight so important to the closers?
Sorry titmas, I do not have the specs for the closers, they were already installed and never thought I need to check because of the weight. I agree with Ryan, if the hinges are good, the closers will work with little effort.
david, ryan, even though the gates are in perfect balanced the gate closer company said that the closers are not rated for that kind of weight. i'll have to check around for a heavy duty unit. thanks.
