I hand carved this replica, for a war veteran. It's scaled up seven times, from the original size. I carved it from solid 8/4 purpleheart hardwood. The medal has three layers of 23carat gold leaf on the front and back. The actual size of the carving is 1 3/4" thick x 7 1/2" wide x 16" Long.

How much would you charge to make another one? My wife Marci received the purple heart while on tour in Iraq and this would make an excellent gift.
