Curly maple antique repro desk

Listing #1631 Listed on: 12/17/2008 Company Name: kings and queens
Name: mike hide

This my most recent piece out of curly maple. I found the wood somewhat difficult to work with .

Everything is in solid maple even the back and the drawer bottoms ,not a stitch of ply or other wood species. the wood is out of Pennsylvania [Hearn]purchased by the customer .The finish is rubbed out laquer .to get most out of the wood it was first oiled with lindseed then a zinseer sealer coat to trap th oilthen sealed and laquered

I admire your patience and skill. I hope you received a decent fee to offset the obvious many hours involved in this beautiful piece.
