Cherry Entertainment center/mantle/bookcase

This project was a little tricky because it is Z shaped with limited depths for some of the areas. It was a little challenging to make it all flow together and not make it look like a hack job. The material is Cherry with a custom color. The first picture is the proposed design drawn up in KCDW and presented to the client. Needless to say they were more then happy with the design and the outcome.

Let me start by saying you do exceptional work. Considering the space you have to work with, everything flows very nicely. Job well done! My problem with this piece is the TV. I've noticed that this is the latest trend and it's extremely tacky. I feel that it takes away from the piece as well as the fire place. Keep posting, great job!

Very nice. What material did you use for shelves. It appears to be 1" thick, correct? What kind of shelf hooks did you use to support heavy loads of books. Thanks.

Allen, The shelves are 3/4" cherry ply with a 1 1/2" cherry hardwood front edge that is routed for detail. The shelfs are supported with standard metal shelf pins. Thanks for the comments.

That is some splendid work. Stained dark per customer's wishes, I suppose. I prefer natural cherry with some oil but there's no accounting for taste, is there? Once again, splendid work.

Very very very nice! what was your finishing schedule? Looks like you sprayed the stain or dye..

looks, great, only thing would be to stain drill holes, they really show up from the side.
other than that nice work!

Nice! I like the original concept without the tv cutout though.
