I think the turned pedestal is beautiful, and makes a great contrast with the wenge. However, there is something unappealing about the wenge grain - too coarse or something. Not a criticism, but just my taste (don't like oak either). great piece!

This table is absolutely beautiful! This is the first time I have fallen in love with a picture of a table. I love the top the most. Beautiful!
