This kitchen Island is constructed from 1" reclaimed quarter sawn oak. (really nice stuff) It has all mortise and tenon joinery, a single dovetailed drawer with reclaimed pine drawer box and a cabinet below. there's a 12" overhang on one side for bar style service. I finish all my projects with water borne finishes from Target coatings. This item was custom made for Apple Hill antiques in Mirror Lake NH.

Did you create this piece from several reclaimed pcs of antique furniture/cabinetry? Or reclaimed rough lumber and fabricate to look like an antique? I might be confused by the discription, but really like this piece of furniture. Why does the drawer look different in color or maybe sheen? I would love more info, Thanks for sharing.

This wood was resawn from a beam that came from an 1850's barn in lancaster co. P.A. you caught me with the drawer. I took the photo prior to top coating the drawer face. Thanks for your interest.
