Kevin, a really nice piece of work. Was this for your personal use or a customer?

Kevin, Very creative design and nicely executed. Did you design it yourself?

Thanks for the comments! I designed this myself for a client. They said they weren't sure yet but I went ahead and built it anyways because I liked they way it looked on paper. Just when I finished building it and was getting it ready for oil the original clients called me and decided they wanted it and to their surprise the wait time was minimal. I was slightly disappointed, really was looking forward to a new dresser in my room!...LOL

love the grain match across the entire front including the top and bottom rail though as i look closer it appears to be veneer over solid which dampens my enthusiasm slightly. too bad we can't see the top in the pics. not a huge fan of the base but whatever...nice job!

The veneer is actually pressed on MDF. I like to wrap my MDF blanks with solid 1/4" material, mitered all the way around, before I press the veneers. Also I like to use 1/16" thick veneers, this helps alot. I will post a pic of the top for you Geoff. I bookmatched it and the grain flows through both sides and the top. The bottom was a close match but doesn't flow around quite perfectly.

Like others have said...stunning work. Would you mind explaining a little more about your process of wrapping MDF. Do you mean 1/4" hardwood, and is this in case of damage to the veneer? Anyway, I like your style...
