Just finished and not yet the finishing or handles on this TV unit. Made of maple with drawer fronts of Rimu, Kauri,Sapele, Rosewood, Macrocapa, Purirri,Maple and Swamp Rimu all glued together with epoxy and curved later. 2 days to attach the front to the sides and get them in exact position, A drawer box with block front attached might have been easier but I wanted lightness and a challenge. Looking for small finger pulls of alloy that attach to the top edge of the drawers so not to distract the eye from the design.

That isn't large enough for "any" television. Where are the drawer pulls?

Fantastic piece, where are you located?

Good question Wha. I'm looking for them too, the right ones, as written in my blurb. Seen any? "Any" TV up to about 50" I guess. Most your clients go for bigger screens? Thanks for your support Rastudio.. located 'down under'... New Zealand. This Maple traveled some miles!

Have you thought about touchlatches for the drawers? I know blum makes them for the undermount glides. Beautiful, curious as to what the finish will bring out

Nice Piece Steve. I think this a a well executed design. Can't wait to see the finish on those drawers. Great work!

Thanks Chris. As for finish I know a water based one will leave the color the same and oils or lacquer will deepen and throw the color out esp on the front. It is still nice to complete though for showing.

That is really amazing. It looks like nothing I've seen before.

I like and appreciate the original design and the craftsmanship looks excellent. Very nice!

Interesting piece, and very well done.

In Denver, Colorado, "retro 50's" stuff is now called "mid-century modern" - a lame attempt to add an air of sophistication.
