This is a cabinet I built for my spices. I did the carving and my GF did the tole painting. The cabinet is maple. The "wicker" is thin strips of Beech hardwood. The mouse is Cherry. I figured I wanted to do a decorative type of dovetail. That was probably the hardest part of the project.

Good work but the hinges are not so cool for such a well made piece!

I think the hinges are just fine. They actually make the door the focal point and don't take anything away from it.
I'd be proud to offer this in any showroom.
