We had the opportunity to fabricate two solid walnut tables with legs being attached to top by dove tails. Being under time constraints and extensive labor and clients approval these dove tails were simulated. Yes fake. The were created by merely using a hack saw blade to create end grain, then darkened with a little stain and

I absolutely love the joints you used, great craftsmanship.
the only thing i would change are perhaps the casters - maybe stainless steel would look better - it is such a beautiful piece and i think the hardware should match it in quality.

Good question Pat. pocket screws and plenty of glue.
