Very nice work!

Center drawer appears in photo to be 2 board, of very different grain/figure. Wood selection can be critical to the success of a design. I am pretty sure a "reproduction" of that design would require quarter-sawn oak on all display faces....

I agree with above, looks great but would have looked much better in quarter sawn oak......

Many hours spent on this project I am sure!!! I always hate it when I spend a lot of time on something and then some one comes along and says, "but you should have..." I agree with the others 1/4 sawn would have been the way to go but the cost would have been much higher. If a strict reproduction was intended 1/4 sawn would have to be used ESPECIALLY with a Stickley piece. The grain could have been matched a little better also. Please take this as constructive criticism because that is the only way we grow and improve is through conctructive not useless criticism. I love the piece though nice work!

As a 16-year veteran of the Stickley factory, I salute you on your accomplishment.
Yes, ¼ sawn oak would be used; a water-based finish wasn’t factory either. But how far do you want to go to make it a “reproduction”? Do you have the “Stickley” tag in the drawer? Are the drawers stamped to keep them in matched sets as the factory does? And you can’t forget the “Stickley” branding.

In other words, it’s a handsome interoperation of a design made more appealing by your efforts to put blade to board and build it yourself.
