Inlaid Lignum Vitae Table

Listing #3693 Listed on: 01/12/2012 Name: Alexander Valle-Albert Member

Here a table I made some years ago. It is an original artwork, but overall it has some Victorian and Eastlake influences. Wood is solid Lignum Vitae. Other woods I used for decoration were: Bullet wood; West Indian Satinwood; Ortegon; Cobana Negra and Fustic... a little more than 1000 hours to complete (part time work). Table top is 36" X 24". Thanks for looking and any question or comments are welcome. Alexander Valle-Albert....Puerto Rico.

Fantastic work! Do you have any idea how many hours you have in this table?

Sorry, I did not have my glasses on and now I do. Sorry about the redundant question.

Alexander, I did not see these pieces prior to asking you for a small sample piece of Lignum vitae. You sent a bigger sample than I expected and requested nothing in return. I feel honored to actually have a piece of wood that is probably a leftover piece from one of these two masterpieces you created. Not only are you extraordinarily talented beyond belief but unselfish as well.
