EGA Shadow box

Listing #4666 Listed on: 10/09/2015 Name: Dave Straughen

This is a Marine Symbol Shadowbox I was asked to build. It’s solid Mahogany except for the eye and toes of the Eagle which are Walnut. The Eagle is done in the Intarsia Art form I enjoy doing! There are roughly 185 pieces to this. I used a real piece of rope thinking it would accentuate this project. I felt the dome which represents the globe would set this apart from any other displays like this. The backing is black felt on foam core. And as an added surprise to the recipient, I added a light kit to light everything up at night! Thanks for looking!!!

Love this EGA plaque. How much and how long would it take to make? I was thinking of this as a retirement gift for a Marine.

Beautiful retired Marine and would like to discuss you making one for me. The only thing I would add is a lightly etched glass to complete the globe. Please reach out to me.
