I started doing work using reclaimed beams. They need surfaced to glue-up and meet architectural specs.
I built my own planer . . . The cutterhead is compliments of Hermance Mac. Co. . . .(4" diameter x 22" with 168 knives)
The power is 29hp Vanguard twin cylinder.
