Here is the walnut hutch I finished for our kitchen last spring. All walnut face construction with maple lap back and ash drawers. Stained glass side lights and front top round feature. Front top door glass is semi transparent hand rolled. All glass is from Kokomo Opalescent Glass factory which has been producing stained glass since 1888. Lit with LED lights. Chip carving on drawer fronts. Fretwork scenes on sides. Self closing drawer slides. Natural color with 2 coats polyurethane sprayed. This project challenged several of my skills. Thanks for looking.

A lot of work, very nice. I see carving tools, was this done by hand or did you use a CNC? Either way, very nice work.

Thanks, I chip carved the leaf pattern into the drawer fronts by transferring the pattern from a drawing I made on the computer. The 2 leaf appliques on top are also done the same way except I completed the finish carving work on those after I had cut them out with a scroll saw and glued them on. Don't have a CNC.

Now that's what walnut is supposed to look like. Most beautiful project I've seen in years here.
