Love it, grain flow with the kerf spacing matching.
I'm a little confused on after putting in all that work, you used baltic birch ply drawers. I'm at a loss on that

I agree with Scott: Beautiful job, dovetail drawers would have been better. Next time.

Thanks for checking out my work. While I understand you comments about the drawers, I figure the carcasses are veneered plywood AND I'm using mechanical steel slides. So the baltic birch drawers are OK. At a certain point I have to factor in the money!! They are constructed with Lamellos, so no nails.I would love to build some casework with NO metal drawer slides and really nice knife hinges.

Aaron,
It looks amazing. I like how you built something that looks great, with production techniques. This piece puts the effort where the client will value it. The craftsmanship is evident in the things that matter to a client - the overall aesthetic, grain matching, and the Jarra base. Well done! (not everything needs dovetail drawers, most clients don't know or care...Coming from a guy that hand cuts all of his dovetails. Fun fact - 100+ years ago, Dovetails were considered ugly and often covered up if on the exterior of a case. They were just the best way to hold things together at the time. Marketing has made them a thing...)
