Very nice!

Finally a person that understands this forum.

This is a show you shop forum, and not show your work! As most of the people in this forum do

Very cool. Can you explain a little more about your dado machine?
Thanks!

Posted By: Gordon Jackson     [03/25/2006]
It is basically an old belt drive table saw underneath. The power feeder is a Grizzly. We fixed the fence at 3/4" and the blade is 1/4" stacked set dado. We run the parts right off of the edgebander.

You Have got yourself a nice shop, Gordon.Don't you find your finishing racks a bit cramped??

Posted By: Gordon Jackson     [04/02/2006]
The spacing on the racks is 5" its just hard to tell from the pic. They are on rollers so we can roll them in and out of the booth.

A very nice shop you have done a lot of work, i am hoping mine will look half as good.

Gordon,
Nice shop. I like the finishing racks. Is that metal pipe or PVC for the supports?

Posted By: Gordon Jackson     [04/18/2006]
The tubes are 1/2" electrical conduit. The uprights are 2x6. We have tried different spacing and the best seems to be 5" between each rack.

I notice the Fire Extinguisher near the Flamables, Will You be able to get to it during a Fire?
AWESOME Shop

Posted By: Gordon Jackson     [11/27/2006]
Thanks, John. We have since moved the storage cabinets away from the door. It still might be a good idea to move the fire extinguisher to a better location.
