umm... what is a german peeler ???

Posted By: Chad     [03/03/2008]
A german peeler is a machine that puts a hand hewn finish on logs, it a lot faster than the drawknife. That cutterhead has six knives in it and it spins at 1400 rpm and you rest the log up against it then slide the log back and forth and spin it until you have desired finish on the log.

What type of Tenon Cutter is that?

Posted By: Chad     [03/04/2008]
The tenon cutter cuts a 1 1/2" tenon on the ends of the logs I use for spindles. I built the tenon cutter myself, its a lot faster than using a drill and it self centers the logs on the tenon cutter. It can knock out close to 200 spindles an hour.

I have gotten many items from your company and they are all really nice pieces. You do a fabulous job.

Where did you get your German peeler? I used to work at a sawmill making log railings and we had a peeler similar to yours, but it had no information on the machine at all about manufacture. Looking to purchase one to increase production over the old drawknife.
