You need a new incense station.

ok....could you explain what that is?

Is it at cutting short at the cutoff guillotine or end trim station?

at the Cutoff guillotine.
thnx

Sounds like the trip switch or infrared eye should be moved further down the machine feed direction to delay cutoff.
My HolzHer has a trip switch, don't know about the Brandt setup but probably trip or eye.
Is the edging material advancing freely off the coil holder and the feed guides not dragging on the edging?

I have an SCM K201plus and we ran into this.....

The little gizmo that pulls the tape back after the guillotine chops it was causing the problem. Ours has a little pressure adjustment to grip the tape when it pulls back.

Too much grip and the tape slips a bit when the next board goes through making it look short. Too little grip and it doesn't pull back enough and gets jammed up at the end trim and leaves a tab on the leading end of the part.

What I am getting at it, is take a look at other functions and stations to see if they may be having an impact. Im not familiar with your machine, so just throwing out some stuff.

YES the tape is advancing freely....not sure what trips the cutter, IR or ??.
Had all the casing off and fiddled with everything I could find. Fired it up edged 2 pieces perfectly. Then the thing shut right down on me. Error said loose ribbon cable so I tried every connection imaginable....no luck!

JM:
thanx, but sounds like yors is diff. problem.

open the cabinet door, look @ the plc see if it will fire up and run a panel. Maybe the impact of the shear cutting through the tape is vibrating the cable loose. Look @ the plc and see if it is getting a signal.

It's a pretty important piece of the puzzle that you are getting 2 pcs and then it shut down. My cnc had the same problem. You are going to have to chase through the schematics.

ok guys....here's an update....we disconnected the airline to the guilotine. . With the first one disengaged the tape now continues to roll through and I have to pull it back after each piece. The end trimmer cuts as intended.
Two wrongs to make a right, but at least we can continue working.
Thnx for the help.
