I have a very small shop and I am looking into buying a track saw to process my sheet goods. The three brand names I am looking at are Festool,Makita and DeWalt.
Has anyone used these? If so which one and whats your opinion of it.

Festool period.
Once you start acquiring these tools it will become evident that they all work on a system. It's just a superior product, though I guess it depends on your budget and if you need this quality and system.

You should also consider the Mafell MT55cc
It has a scoring function for melamine and the tracks have a better joining system.

The Mafell line is distributed in the USA by Timberwolf tools.

The saws will work on the festool tracks but if you don't have a track I would buy the Mafell because of the quick conect feature. I don't think they are as well represented as the Festool line.

I live in Anchorage Alaska. Friday I needed/wanted a new top for my MFT. I drove to the festool dealer, picked one up and drove back to the shop and put it on. I doubt that would be the case with Mafell.
That's worth a lot to me and Festool is pretty good stuff.
If Mafell wants more of the American market seems they would expand their dealers.
