Machinery repair in Baltimore area1/30/20
We need someone to come to our shop and get our Saw Stop running properly. It bogs down under load and our cursory efforts at fixing it have come up short. It is a 5hp 3 phase machine. If anyone knows of a person in the Baltimore / Maryland area who does machinery maintenance / repair it would be helpful.
Reach out to Scott Cayce, I believe in Cockeysville.
And while you're in Cockeysville, stop by Andy Nelson's Barbecue. Good stuff there.
Any electrician can diagnose and fix that.
Are you blowing fuses or kicking breakers? Is it fused (protected) at the correct amperage? Do you have an amp meter to check the draw of each leg going to the machine? Its really not that complicated. I'll bet you have a loose connection. You will likely find a wire that overheated if you look.
I agree it sounds like an electrician could diagnose, but you could call Bayside Industrial Service and Parts
Call SawStop, they have always been super helpful. Nobody knows their stuff better.
