Lamellar zeta machine12/27
This is just a follow up to a posting from a few months ago. I bit the bullet and bought this machine and we have been finding more uses for it in the shop than we dreamed of. Took minutes to learn and is amazingly accurate. Highly recommend as a great time saver. We use a lot of textured melamine and high gloss acrylic and mite red doors have become a breeze and building cabinets that require finished sides or assembly on site has become a much faster operation. At first I worried about the cost of each biscuit, but now I realize the time saved and time is money. Harold.
I recall posting my opinion on the Lamello P2 Zeta... I love mine too!
You can save $$ by buying connectors in the 1000 pc boxes - the more you buy the less they cost per unit, by a fair bit.
I am using the Clamex P14, and the 14/10 now mostly as the 15 is being phased out.
My only complaint with the entire system, is that the original drilling jig for the 10 and 15 size was all aluminum/steel. The new drilling jog you buy (a set of three) for the 10/14/15 is plastic with a steel drill guide, but I have used my 14 enough to basically wear it out as the steel insert is spinning in the plastic housing. I wisj an all metal drill guide was also available for the 14, or I was thinking to have one machined up.
Otherwise - zero complaints and it does allow many things to be joined and/or attached easily that otherwise would be a PITA to do. Plus you have just the small access hole to deal with.
I agree, this is one of the best tools that has come out in a long time.I especially like it for building angled Cabinets, eliminates all the tricky clamping problems.

Andrew, yes there were some batches of the new style Clamex P System universal drill jigs in which after some use, sometimes the steel bushing loosened. Please know that has been been corrected at the factory in Switzerland, all tools shipped now have the updated version. Contact your dealer for probable replacement.
