Biesse Edgebander
4/15/17
I have a Biesse Akron 850 edgebander and am getting two error messages when I power up the machine. First one says an axes limit switch is activated, and the second one says the axes needs to be reset. I suspect it is the height of the top presser. The counter says it is at 17mm for example, but the computer is reading it at -4.8mm. Does anyone know how to reset the axis to the correct height? Any help would be appreciated. Thank you......Jay

I have same issue with my SCMI k208 with plc control .
I don’t know what controller is on biesse but on my SCM I switch to automatic control and go to high adjustment enter current high and push button for semiautomatic adjustment. And when machine hit top limit switch just push home button for around 5 second . Machine should be set to correct high.
Push 1 more time to check

I have an akron 435. The PLC lost the battery and in the change out the presser lost it's calibration. I could not find any info on how to re-calibrate other than here so I hope my info helps someone else.
I set the presser to 20mm using the software " presser up/down" feature. Then I disconnected the encoder so the PLC would not get feedback that I had moved the presser. The encoder is a little barrel connected to the end of the presser drive shaft. It has a serial connector connecting it to the PLC. I then moved the presser using the "presser up/down" feature until the digital readout said 20mm. Then I reconnected the encoder. All is right again.
