Salice hinge question

Hello all. I have a friend that needs a few new Salice hinges as his old ones are worn out(20+ years old). I have two questions. First, does Salice warrant their hinges like Blum does? Second, I am a Blum shop and can order from Richelieu, but I am not sure what hinges to order. Can anyone help identify this hinge and it's current model number? Thanks

Warranty after 20+Yrs?, come on man.
I'd call that wear and tear well beyond the expected life of a hinge.
Blum is pretty much interchangeable with a Salice pattern, just order your friend a couple of 170* Blum hinges.

Hello Matt,

This is a 165 degree hinge, half overlay. Itís hard to tell the mounting plate thickness from the photo but it appears to be, possibly a 3mm plate. If you look on the top of the plate you should see the numbers 00, 02, or 03. This will tell me the plate thickness and will insure the same overlay will be achieved with any replacements.

This hinge pre-dates 1994 when I joined Salice America. Back in the 1980s and early 1990s, the 165 degree hinge was commonly used for all of the doors in a kitchen (Particularly in Detroit). After a time however, most shops moved to using a 110 degree or 120 degree opening hinge for kitchens.

@Robin, one of the reasons I am a Blum shop is they stand behind their product, as do I. Blum guarantees their hinges for life, and will gladly replace any broken or worn out part. My work comes with a "my lifetime" guarantee that the workmanship will not fail under normal use within the specifications of products. This is one of the ways I distinguish myself from the compitition.
